Description
• Day 1 – Arrive Punta Arenas, Chile
Arrival in Punta Arenas, where we will meet you to start our trip to Torres del Paine National Park. Lunch in the hotel. Each day we will meet our tracker who will begin tracking while we prepare to follow him. Photos of sunset on the shores of Lake Sarmiento. Dinner.
• Day 2 – Blue Lagoon, Cañadon Macho
We will photograph the sunrise at Estancia Cerro Guido, and have breakfast at the hotel. While we wait for news from our tracker, we will take photographs of birds and landscapes in various locations. Lunch in the hotel. In the afternoon we will go to the Blue Lagoon, passing through Cañadón Macho, where we will have the opportunity to photograph foxes, birds (Kingfisher, cometocino, owl, condor, etc), and herds of guanaco, a relative of the llama. Return to the hotel after sunset. Rest break and dinner.
• Day 3 – Sierra Baguales, Paine Waterfall
We will photograph the sunrise at Estancia Cerro Guido, then visit Sierra Baguales, a place famous for its geological formations and landscape. We return to the hotel for lunch and a rest break. In the afternoon we will go to Paine Waterfall on the east side of the park, where we can photograph various animals (queltehue, bandurrias, taguas, rheas, gray foxes, sheep, condors, owls) and the picturesque waterfall. Return to the hotel after sunset. Rest break and dinner.
• Day 4 – Nordenskjold Lake, park
After photographing the sunrise at the Nordenskjold Lake viewpoint, we will have breakfast there. Lunch break. In the afternoon we will go to the center of the park, where the waterfall called Salto Grande (“Big Jump”) is located, and photograph birds and the landscape. Return to the hotel after sunset. Rest break and dinner.
• Day 5 – Viewpoint Condoreras, Sierra Baguales
We will photograph meltwater streams descending through deep ravines and visit regions full of vultures and condors. From the top of an 80-meter-tall cliff, we will photograph the valley with its magnificent view of Las Chinas river. We can also photograph Sierra el Toro and the impressive view of the Paine Massif. Lunch break. In the afternoon we will photograph the sunset in Sierra Baguales, a place famous for its landscapes and geological formations. Return to the hotel after sunset. Rest break and dinner.
• Day 6 – Flamingos Lagoon
We will photograph Flamingos Lagoon, a small lake without drainage in the middle of the Patagonian steppe, where we will see groups of Chilean Flamingo, ducks, queltehue, bandurrias, taguas, rheas, gray foxes and sheep. Lunch, rest break and dinner. Rest break and dinner.
• Day 7 – Torres del Paine Trail
After photographing the sunrise at Torres del Paine we will have breakfast there. We will cross a soft plain bordering the Forest of Lengas and Ñirres. On the road we will see guanacos, eagles, condors, sheep, and cows. Lunch We will photograph the Forest of Lengas and Ñirres, then ascend to a plain 600 meters above sea level, from which we will take in the view of the Estancia Valley, as well as the sierra, Toro Lake, Sarmiento Lake, Paine Massif, Hunt Hill, and Guido Hill. If the day is clear, we will see part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Return to the hotel after sunset. Rest break and dinner.
• Day 8 – Depart and fly home
We will photograph our last sunrise at a location of the group’s choosing and have our last opportunity to sight a puma. We will have lunch and then go to the Punta Arenas Airport.

We will fly over Torres del Paine National Park (227,298 hectares), where we can see the Gray Glacier. This is the largest glacier in the park and it´s 6 kilometers wide, we can also see the Southern Ice Fields. We will fly over Cerro Paine Grande, the highest peak in this area at 2845 meters above sea level. We will be able to see the Horns of the Torres del Paine from the air, the Main Horn is at 2110 meters, North Horn (2200m) and East Horn (2000m).
The Cuernos del Paine formation is located between two important valleys of the Macizo del Paine: the Francés Valley, to the west, and the Bader Valley, to the east. To the south, and at the foot of the Main Horn, is the large Lake Nordenskjöld.
From the air we will be able to observe and photograph countless lakes, rivers, glaciers and mountains. A unique destination with the most interesting geological formations that exist in the world.
