Coming soon: Gamboa Through The Eyes of the Sloth A BOOK WITH A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE Panama possesses one of the greatest biodiversities in proportion to its territory, with over 11,000 species of plants and animals, including 3 of the 6 existing sloth species. However, despite the fact that 35% of its territory is protected from a total area of 75,517km2, these ecosystems face great threats due to the expansion of urban and industrial areas. To understand an uncommon animal like the Sloth, we have chosen a different lens, one that observes a breathtaking landscape through gradual imperceptible movements. This viewpoint may be appreciated through our large format coffee-table photography book. In this book you will become familiarized with sloths and other tropical forest species that are in the category of endangered animals. The APPC Foundation is dedicated to rescuing and contributing to the conservation of these species, including sloths that are under threat. Sloths invest their energy in tasks that are necessary for survival. Allow yourself the opportunity to enjoy life from the perspective of a lethargic creature. Perhaps we may learn from sloths by basking in peace or moving at a slow pace before facing hectic day-to-day activities. This book gives us a well-deserved break to fall in love with Panama´s tropical forest and learn about the Pan American Association for Conservation (APPC).
